On Wednesday, 14th February 2007, we went to Bradford City Farm with a group of Bradford Home Edders. The children helped to feed the animals and clean out their pens. They also groomed the ponies and had a great time playing on the old tractor. On Monday 19th, Erin did some knitting and embroidery. She is knitting a scarf for Spotty Dog and she is embroidering the mat that was started by Patrick when he was about 5 years old. On Tuesday 20th, we went to the library as they had an activity session. She made a ‘Very Hungry Catterpillar’ and also planted a pot with a sunflower seed. Today we went to Oakwell Hall with Rebecca, David and Ellie to do the quiz ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Sideboard’ and in the afternoon we went to the Red House to do some Victorian crafts.

We went to TP Woods in Huddersfield to do a workshop with two ladies from the Word Hoard. After listening to an extract from Wind in the Willows, we made a sculpture.

Wednesday, 10th January 2007
First Paddock meeting of the year. Topic was recycling. Erin enjoyed the activities and came home with a bag which she had sewed beads on to, a mat made from melted polythene bags, a junk sculpture and an oak tree seed which she planted. A lady came from Kirklees to talk to us about cycling and she gave out lots of activity books and leaflets. Erin enjoyed running around at the end with Matilda and Becca.

The babyballet christmas party was visited by the christmas fairy!

Christmas Day was very relaxed and Santa Claus brought Erin everything that she wanted. Today is Callum’s third birthday and Richard brought him to visit. Erin had a great time running around the house with him. This afternoon we visited her other cousins. Katherine and Sara played with Erin and James listened to his new MP3 player.

Had a get-together at our house today as Lisa came from Leyburn with Katie and baby Matthew. Tracy with Ayden and Owen; Cath with Katie; and Keely with George and Poppy, all came to see Matthew. Haven’t seen Lisa since the summer so it was good. The children all played nicely together and had a photo taken in front of the Christmas tree.

Had a pre Christmas get-together with Ellie, Jon, Rebecca and David. Stella came over from Manchester with Josie and Zac and Erin had a great time playing with them all.

This is the first post on our first blog and I suddenly have nothing to say!
We all went to the Christingle Service at church this afternoon. Maggie’s talk was very amusing, she told the Christmas story using chocolate bars and biscuits to illustrate it.
On Friday, we had a mention on the Showtime spot on the Dawn Patrol. The song was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and I emailed to ask Sarah Kennedy to mention Erin as this is her favorite film.
